ImpACT Theatre hosted the opening for it's location, 860 Bay Street, on December 21st, 2024. The opening featured a holiday cabaret, raffle baskets, and door prizes in addition to showing our space.
On December 20th, numerous members of ImpACT Theatre visited Carmel Richmond. While at Carmel Richmond, we had the honor to sing holiday carols to the residents there, in addition to handing out cards.
ImpACT Theatre opened for the Rockettes at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in December 2024! A line-up of over 30 performers was able to share this experience on the Radio City stage, led by Alyssa Mazzone.
In December of 2024, three members of ImpACT Theatre (Alyssa, Dahlia, and Madison) visited Cohen Children's Medical Center in Long Island, NY. While at Cohen Children's, Alyssa, Dahlia, and Madison got to go to the Ryan Seacrest studio to sing holiday songs for the children and families at the hospital.
Pages of Hope is an original musical, written and composed by Alyssa Mazzone, Dahlia Lau, and Julia Tarantino. Pages of Hope told the true story of Julia Tarantino, a 14 year old girl who beat cancer four times. It shows the reality of this illness and the relationships with her friends, family, and doctors. Pages of Hope raised over $8,000 in July of 2024.
ImpACT Theatre's voice teacher, Alyssa Mazzone, and Megan McDevitt from Meg's Voice Studio hosted a joint masterclass this August on zoom!
In July of 2024, ImpACT Theatre had a cabaret / Dine to Donate at Z-Two on Staten Island. The cabaret featured over 20 performers from Staten Island singing songs that they love!
In June of 2024, ImpACT Theatre had a cabaret at The Green Room 42 in NYC. The cabaret featured 15 high school students from Staten Island who are passionate about performing. On The Rise was directed by Matthew Ochoa and featured Gavin Matthias as the accompanist.
In June of 2024, ImpACT Theatre did a joint cabaret with Pitbulls and Addicts at Paradise Island in Staten Island. ImpACT performed a series of songs from musicals produced in the 2000s. This event was a great turn-out and a fun night full of food, drinks, raffles, and music!
In December of 2023, three members of ImpACT Theatre (Alyssa, Dahlia, and Madison) visited Cohen Children's Medical Center in Long Island, NY. While at Cohen Children's, Alyssa, Dahlia, and Madison got to go to the Ryan Seacrest studio to sing holiday songs for the children and families at the hospital. The performances were streamed onto all of the patient TVs for everyone to enjoy!
In October of 2023, ImpACT Theatre attended Mazzone Ace Hardware's annual PumpkinFest event as volunteers. This event benefited Cohen Children's Medical Center in Long Island, NY. It is a great event to get the community together to celebrate Halloween and to help the patients and families at Cohens.
Since December of 2020, Alyssa Mazzone has directed numerous cabarets to benefit Children's Miracle Network. These events include virtual cabarets and live events at various places, such as Applebee's.
Behind Closed Doors is an original musical. With Alyssa Mazzone as the writer and asst. composer / lyricist and Dahlia Lau as the composer / lyricist, Behind Closed Doors told the story of 5 teenagers who's stories collide in group therapy. It touches on topics of anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, eating disorders, and abuse. Behind Closed Doors raised over $5,000 for Children's Miracle Network in July of 2023.
Make It Far is an original musical written and composed by Alyssa Mazzone and Dahlia Lau. Make It Far told the story of Ally, a senior in high school who was navigating life while living with anxiety and depression. With the help of her friends and family, Ally learned how to cope with the emotions she was feeling and was able to thrive in her everyday life. Make It Far raised over $5,000 for Children's Miracle Network in July of 2022.
